NBC had a contest to find America's Favorite Mom.  According to them, I fall into the category of non-mom.  Hmm.  I guess that means I don't need to make dinner, care for my children when they're sick, comfort them, teach them etc.  I wonder what they should call me since apparently I'm not the mom.  WHAT??  I'd like to know whose brilliant idea it was to actually come up with a "Non-mom" category.  Hello?!?!?

On a lighter note, it looks like they received a lot of complaints and in the end changed the category name.  I'm just still amazed that they actually used "Non-mom" to begin with.

This is so disturbing on so many levels!!  It doesn't matter if you are pro-life or pro-choice, this is just not right.  I cannot believe the school is letting this person actually do this.  What do you think??

Does anyone know about the power outage that happened last night north of Plant City?  We were out of power from a little after 6pm until sometime between 11:45pm and 1:10am.  We woke up at 1:15am and the power was back on so we could finally shut down our generator.  I didn't see anything about it on the news and we were wondering what caused the outage.  At any rate, it was a good drill for hurricane season!
