As I told Chris when I was being scolded; "I believe for the most part, even though my posts may have copy and paste excerpts and a link, and may not be in my own words, I keep the excerpt to a minimum, and I believe my posts are “News” worthy that people may not have seen in the rush of their day to day lives. I do not see that as a terrible sin on a "news" blog. I will take the suggestion of others like YellowDog and tone down my sometimes harsh commentary."

The rewards of enjoying playing with dirt! Doesn't it make ya feel good eating what you grew yourself?

I cheated today and planted some "Early Girl's" I picked up from Lowes! Wife yelled at me as she has 144 tomato plants started from seed that are about 2" tall right now. It was worth the $6 for three plants that will be giving fresh tomatoes in 50 to 55 days. We always end up with more than we could ever eat or can and end up giving away about half of what we grow. The best has to be fresh chili with fresh picked beans (preped over night), tomatoes, peppers and onions right from the garden to the pot!

I'll cut and paste when I want and I'll call a fool a fool and a liberal a liberal. I'll never call someone's mom fat and wont cast dispersions on anyone's race or sexuality.

Basically, I aint gunna change! I have nothing to change here. As for the trouble makers, let's see if they can.

I started a garden this year. It's my first. It's doing ok so far. I found something I actually hate. No it's not Dubya. It's WEEDS! I'm glad I don't live in Switzerland! (See RandyLoo's blog "Oh for the love of Peat') I need to commit mass murder of some clover.

Yellowdog, those are good standards for any discussion board. A&D will probably give some people fits though. ;)

Perhaps if we all imagined we were sitting around a huge table w/each other it would help? Instead of insulting someone, they could buy them another round and civilly discuss why they think that person if FOS. :-0

Yikes, glad I missed the lockdown!!! A few days away and our blog world crashes. Would someone please tell me the date and blog that caused the latest "Boex" Chris intervention. I would like to review it. Perhaps it was so bad it has been deleted.... Anyway, without opening a BIG CAN OF WORMS, what the heck happened here?

It is possible to critique and jab at others while maintaining a degree of civility.

Calling Freak a RWNJ or calling me a pinko commie liberal is in good fun, I think.

You are permanently affixed in my rolodex Frank. I would never consider sending you to the trash heap.

I only respond to what anyone writes. We are what we compose, right or wrong that's the only thing to judge a blogger on.

I respond to what I see however. I have been known to overreact at times and if that is the case I apologize. I try to screen myself by not posting a response until I have a few minutes to re-read and sometimes I edit my own remarks to be less, shall we say "bold".

I do however hate prejudice and bigotry and when I perceive those expressions I need not apologize, for there is NO excuse for those views. We do know however that "perception is reality". We live and die by the pen in this medium.

I am willing to start afresh with you as I am with all others. If you choose to accept, I welcome you. If not, so be it.

It matters not in the great scheme of things I suspect.
